Olive and camphor oils provide a cheap and effective way to enjoy the benefits of a relaxing massage. For your body rub, mix one teaspoonful of sunflower oil and one teaspoonful of camphor oil and rub the mixture into the affected areas. You can also take a variety of natural concoctions to relieve joint pain. These include a mixture of � teaspoonful turmeric powder and warm water or 1 tsp turmeric powder and warm milk, taken two to three times daily or papaya seed tea taken seven to eight times throughout the day. Other foods you can take include bananas, garlic roasted in butter (you can add this to your meals), apple cider vinegar, carrot and lemon juice mixed in equal amount, and porridge made using molasses, 2 tbsp winter cherry and ghee.

Engage in regular exercise. This will strengthen the muscles and increase flexibility, thus reducing tension and the resulting pain. During the initial stages when joint pain is most intense, perform water exercises. The soothing effects of the water will subdue the pain, while giving the muscles the flexibility they require. Yoga and meditation helps move your focus from the pain, thus boosting the healing process. Take plenty of water all through the day to help in flushing out toxins which aggravate joint pain.
